A trim adjustment is also available (Item 6) which is then applied to the audio sources shown in Items 1
and 2. Available trim values are -20dB, -10dB, 0dB, +10dB and +20dB.
When in Operation, Stereo audio sources are routed to the Left and Right loudspeakers, Headphones and
Balanced Analogue Outputs.
However, rotating the small encoder whilst simultaneously holding the corresponding pair select button
allows either the Left or Right hand audio channel of a Stereo pair to be isolated and sent to its respective
lousdspeaker, Headphone channel and Balanced Analogue Output.
By default, Mono sources are also routed to both the Left and Right loudspeakers, Headphones and
Balanced Analogue Outputs. However, rotating the small encoder whilst simultaneously holding the
corresponding pair select button allows the Mono audio channel to be sent to the respective lousdspeaker,
Headphone channel and Balanced Analogue Output of your choice.
The SAM-Q-SDI confirms the user selection using on screen prompts as shown below:
Please note that the ability to route audio channels to a specific Lousdspeaker Output, Headphone channel
and Balanced Analogue Output is not available if the Mix L/R setting in the Front Panel Controls Menu is
set to ‘Disabled’ (see page
67 for further info)
Please note that using the small rotary encoder, it is possible to select any Source Select button belonging
to any Mix Group.
