There are several different chucks in which the edge fi nder
can be clamped. We recommend collet chucks, because with
these the best results can be achieved.
Very high quality chucks should be used as the chuck contri-
butes signifi cantly to the accuracy of the probing.
If the edge fi nder is mounted into another chuck, it must be
recalibrated.
As soon as the edge fi nder is calibrated, it has to be protec-
ted from strong impacts.
