- To find out the name of the home network:
1- Tap on the Menu function key in the standby screen of the Telephone application.
2- Use the or the key on the virtual keyboard to bring up the Settings screen.
3- Tap on the Settings screen.
4- Tap on GSM Services .
5- Tap on Network .
6- Tap on Home network .
The name of the home network will be displayed on the screen.
To return to the standby screen, tap on the Exit function key or on the key on the
virtual keyboard.
• Selecting Manual network search
In some cases, you may wish to select a specific network manually (for example, if it
provides better cover in the region where you are).
To do this:
1- Tap on the
Menu function key in the standby screen of the Telephone application.
2- Use the or the key on the virtual keyboard to bring up the Settings screen.
3- Tap on the Settings screen.
4- Tap on GSM Services .
5- Tap on Network .
6- Tap on Network Search .
7- Tap on Manual .
The message Manual network selection will be displayed first of all on the screen, followed by
the list of available networks.
8- Use the or the key on the virtual keyboard to scroll through the list of available
networks.
9- Tap on the name of the network of your choice.
The message Requesting in progress will be displayed first of all on the screen, followed by the
name of the network requested, then you will return automatically to the standby screen of the
Telephone application
• Selecting Automatic network search (default setting):
1- Tap on the Menu function key in the standby screen of the Telephone application.
2- Use the or the key on the virtual keyboard to bring up the Settings screen.
3- Tap on the Settings screen.
4- Tap on GSM Services .
5- Tap on Network .
6- Tap on Network search .
7- Tap on Automatic .
The message Automatic network selection will be displayed first of all on the screen, then you
will return automatically to the standby screen of the Telephone application.
