9. Bar behavior modification – Train bar staff on keypad, changing channels and simple
trouble checks, for example:
• Is Cable/Dish/DVD powered on?
• Is CPU powered on?
• Are scaler and converters powered on?
• Are TVs powered on and set to correct input.?
• Any other special items that may be unique to the system.
Refer to “Troubleshooting” starting on page 69 for further troubleshooting procedures.
Installation Procedures
This section explains how to install and integrate the Barfly system’s components with the
venue’s existing video system.
Important:
If you are replacing an Extron scaler with a GoMax scaler, you must contact
TouchTunes/Barfly Technical Support to remove Extron-specific configuration files from
the Barfly computer. See “Contacting TouchTunes” on page x.
Disconnect Venue’s Existing Video Inputs
Before connecting the Barfly system to the venue’s TV, you must disconnect all alternate
video sources from the screen.
Separate audio inputs (if any) from the source should remain directly connected to the TV
or venue’s amplification system; the scaler is not equipped with audio inputs and outputs.
