Calibrating the Scaler
Using the Calibration Wizard
In order to use the wizard, you must connect to the Barfly computer via a Web browser. On
the Barfly computer resides a calibration service which is tied to a driver that interfaces
directly with the video scaler.
Starting the Wizard
To run the wizard, you will require a portable computer, a broadband router, and a spare
CAT5 network cable. If the venue does not use a router for its Internet connection, you will
have to supply your own while performing the calibration.
1. Connect your laptop computer and the Barfly computer to available LAN ports on the
router.

2. Determine the IP address of the Barfly computer.
Once all Barfly hardware components have been connected and powered up, pressing
the yellow button on the Barfly keypad at any time causes the splash screen to display.

The splash screen displays the firmware revision and serial number of the scaler and—
more importantly to the installer—the IP address of the Barfly computer.
