BATTERY SAVE OPTIONS

CPU SUPER SLEEP MODE

Use this option to enable or disable the CPU sleep mode. The sleep mode processing speed
depends on the processing speed selected in the SETUP program’s Processing Speed option
as shown below:

Processing speed

Sleep speed

High (25MHz) or Normal (12.5MHz)

6.25MHz

Low (6.25MHz)

3.125MHz

When the AC adapter is connected to the computer and a wall outlet, this function is auto-
matically disabled.

Enable

Enables the CPU sleep mode. The computer will automati-
cally shift to an operating speed of 6.25MHz or 3.125MHz
when the processor is idle. This is the default setting.

Disable

Disables the CPU sleep mode.

HDD AUTO OFF

Use this option to disable or set the duration of the HDD automatic power off function.

When the AC adapter is connected to the computer and a wall outlet, this function is auto-
matically disabled.

Disable

Disables the HDD automatic power off. This is the default
setting.

xx Min.

Automatically turns off power to the hard disk drive if it is not
used for the specified duration. The duration (

) can be set

to 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes.

FDD AUTO OFF

Use this option to enable or disable the FDD automatic power off function.

When the AC adapter is connected to the computer and a wall unit, this function is automati-
cally disabled.
