1.1 Features
The Toshiba PORTÉGÉ R400 Personal Computer uses advanced Large Scale Integration
(LSI), and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology extensively to
provide compact size, minimum weight, low power usage and high reliability. This computer
incorporates the following features.
There are some models and options according to BTO system. Refer to the Parts List for the
configuration of each model and options.

The PORTÉGÉ R400 computer is equipped with one of the following processors.

Equipped with Intel Calistoga GM as North Bridge, Intel ICH7-M as South Bridge and
Texas Instrument PCI7412 as Card Controller.

An internal Graphics Controller in North Bridge is used.

Memory
Two DDR2-533/DDR2-667 SDRAM slots. Memory modules can be installed to provide
a maximum of 4GB. Memory modules are available in 512MB( DDR2-533),
1024MB( DDR2-533) and 2048MB(DDR2-667)sizes.

The computer has a 1.8-inch PATA HDD. The following capacities are available.
