Chapter 1 – Introduction

INTRODUCTION

The IP

edge™

System is an advanced unified communications systems. It

consists of an Integrated IP

edge

Solutions server running multiple

applications. A single system could be made up of one or more IP

edge

Servers. Multi-node IP

edge

Net Systems consist of multiple IP

edge

Solutions servers connected via IP

edge

Net to appear as a single large

system. An IP

edge

Solutions server can also be a Stand-Alone system.

Each IP

edge

Solutions server has multiple applications running on the

server. These applications include a Media server, SIP/Megaco converter,
Webmin, Bacula and Enterprise Manager. Additional applications such as
Messaging and Meeting can be added.
