Remove and retain the hardware in the lower end
of the upper discharge tube.
Note:
The holes in the lower end of the upper
discharge tube are spaced an equal distance
around the tube circumference.

Align one of the pre-drilled holes at the lower end
of the upper discharge tube with the hole in the
upper end of the lower discharge tube that was
drilled in step

Insert a screw (1/4 x 3/4 inches) through one of
the holes to maintain the alignment of the upper
and lower tubes (

Using the remaining holes in the lower end of the
upper tube as a template, drill the 2 remaining
holes in the upper end of the lower discharge tube

Remove the screw used to align the upper and
lower tubes.

Install the upper and lower discharge tubes as follows:
Note:
Ensure that the mower deck is at the lowest
cutting position and the hopper bags are removed.

Insert the upper end (no holes) of the upper
discharge tube through the tube seal in the hood
by pushing the tube in until the tube contacts the
inside of the hood, then pull the tube out slightly
so that the seal extends outward (
