7.2. Fire prevention device

Under certain machine operating conditions, TORNOS SA recommends the use
of a fire-fighting system.
TORNOS SA can install to order on all its products a system to protect them against
fire (product no. 5480)

Unauthorised tampering with the fire protection system of the machine may jeo­
pardise the ability of the system to operate and/or cause property damage or
injury to people as well as material damage.

The user must carefully read and strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions.
7.3. Minimum room volume

According to DIN 14497, the minimum room volume per machine must be 10m

in order to allow the use of the fire-fighting equipment (product no. 5480).

If the room volume is too small, there is a risk of death from asphyxiation when
using the fire-fighting equipment.
