6.1. General rules

Never disable the safety devices.

Before starting the machine, always check no one is servicing any invisible parts
of the machine.

Run a regular check of the safety devices.
A qualified person appointed specifically to this task should check all safety
devices regularly, referring to the documentation provided by the manufacturer.
- the protection parts should be whole and in good condition;
- the protection parts and supervision devices should be clean;
- it should be impossible to start the machine when a mobile guard is open;
- use the machine in perfect working order. Immediately remedy any safety or
operating faults;
- notify your superior or manager of any anomalies. Warn other machine users too.
