The following symbols are used throughout this ma-
nual:
Denotes risk of personal injury, loss of life
or damage to the tool in case of non-obser-
vance of the instructions in this manual.
Denotes risk of electric shock.
Carefully read this manual before using the machi-
ne. Make sure that you know how the machine func-
tions and how to operate it. Maintain the machine in
accordance with the instructions to make sure it
functions properly. Keep this manual and the enclo-
sed documentation with the machine.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electric machines always observe
the safety regulations applicable in your count-
ry to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and
personal injury. Read the following safety
instructions and also the enclosed safety
instructions.
Keep these instructions in a safe place!
1. SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
BEFORE USING THE CIRCULAR SAW:
1. Check the following points:
-
do the voltage of the engine and the engine safe-
guard, if any, correspond to the mains voltage
(appliances for a mains voltage of 230 V
-
are the mains lead and the mains plug in a good
condition: solid, without any loose ends or dama-
ge;
-
if the saw blade is missing any teeth, or if it shows
any cracks, it must be replaced inmediately.

Make sure the blade is secure.
-
Use this circular saw to saw only wood, wood-like
products.
2. Do not use disks of circular saws being deformed
or damaged.
3. Do not apply any HSS disks.
4. Exclusively make use of disks of circular saws
meeting the required dimensions, as well as data
and descriptions;
Never apply any disks of which the body is wider
or the gear cutting is smaller than the body of the
riving knife.
5. Do not stop the disk of a circular saw by pressing
the disk from the side.
6. Convince yourself of the fact that the movable
protecting cap will be able to freely move.
Make sure that the mechanisme necessary to
press back the protecting cap will be able to work
well, as regards the closed position.
7. Never forget not to lock-up the movable protec-
ting cap in the open position.
8. Never put sideward pressure on the blade. This
may cause the blade to break.
9. Be careful when cutting wood with knots, nails or
cracks in it and/or dirt on it, as these can cause
the blade to get stuck.
10.Never leave the circular saw unattended.
11.Use this circular saw to saw only wood or wood-li-
ke products.
