The Smartainer 3.0 door is also equipped with an emergency escape
handle to comply with confined space requirements. Should an
individual become confined within the walls of the Smartainer 3.0 unit,
the emergency door puck (shown in Figure 3.3) may be lifted, and
the door will open freely. You can also lift the handle through the hole
above.

Use the following steps to close the unit doors.
1. Push the left door of the unit closed.
2. While keeping the front handle in the Open position, push the right
door closed until it is flush with the left door of the unit.
3. Lower the handle to place it into the Closed position.
4. Ensure that both doors are closed by verifying that the handle is
completely down, and that the doors cannot be pulled open.
3.2 Opening and closing the lid with dual-
action gas spring lever
While the Smartainer 3.0 lid can be opened and closed manually, the
lid may also be equipped with a dual-action gas spring lever. Open and
close the lid as needed according to internal processes.
