3. Remove the flow cell cover.

4. Using the 3/32 in. ball-end hex screwdriver (supplied), loosen the two photodiode 

assembly mounting screws three turns (

Figure 44

).

5. Move the photodiode assembly forward to maximize the space behind it to install the 

LightPipe flow cell. 

6. Loosen and remove the thumbscrew holding the retaining bar to the flow cell retaining 

block (see 

Figure 45

). 

CAUTION  

Do not touch the surface of the photodiode. When removing the 

photodiode mount, be sure to place the mount where the photodiode will not get 
dirty or scratched.
