5. Mount the LightPipe flow cell as follows:
a. Lift the retaining bar and swing it to the right to clear the retaining block for
inserting the flow cell (see Figure 20 ).

b. Being careful not to touch the ends of the flow cell, hold the flow cell with the
alignment slot facing up (see Figure 3 on page 3 and Figure 4 on page 4 ) as you insert
it into the mounting assembly.
c. Put the retaining bar down into the alignment slot in the flow cell (see Figure 21 and
Figure 22 ).

CAUTION Do not touch the ends of the LightPipe flow cell. This could damage
the sensitive optics. If you must grasp the ends of the flow cell to remove it from
the assembly, use clean, talc-free gloves.
