Sensitive optical fibers are exposed at both ends of the LightPipe flow cell ( Figure 6 ).
Thermo Fisher Scientific ships the LightPipe flow cell with end caps to protect these optical
fibers. Do not remove the protective end caps until you install the LightPipe flow cell. If you
remove the LightPipe flow cell from the detector, replace the protective end caps for storage.

CAUTION
Avoid touching the ends of the LightPipe flow cell. Touching the ends of the
flow cell can damage the exposed optical fibers. If you must grasp the ends of the
LightPipe flow cell, wear clean, talc-free gloves.
