SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
ALTERNATOR WITH INTEGRAL
REGULATOR
NOTE: Alternators with integral regulators and alterna-
tors with remote regulators are not interchangeable on
units equipped with CYCLE-SENTRY operation. CYCLE-
SENTRY units using alternators with integral regulators
also use a Battery Sentry module that will not operate cor-
rectly if used on CYCLE-SENTRY units using alternators
with external regulators. See TK Bulletin 300 for correct
Battery Sentry module to use.
1. EXC Terminal: 8D, 7K, 7KK, F1, or EXC Wire
2. F2 Terminal: GRN, BTS, or F2 Wire
3. Volt Sense Terminal - Pink Resistance or
SENSE Wire
4. AC TAP - W Wire
5. Negative Terminal: B- or CH Wire
6. Positive Terminal: B+ or 2A Wire
7. REG Terminal: D+ Indicator Light Wire
1. Output Terminal
2. Filter Capacitor
3. Sense Terminal
4. No F1 Terminal (Alternators from
June 1989 to October 1997)
5. Excitation Terminal
6. 8D, 7K, 7KK, F1 or EXC Wire
