ARC WELDING WITH
SLOPE CONTROL
REPEAT FUNTION
1. To start Slope sequence Close REMOTE switch.
2. In the HF mode, after Preflow time High Frequency is present
at the torch. When the torch is positioned close to the work
the welding current will transfer to the work and establish the
arc to the initial current setting on the sloper.
3. In the LIFT START mode, after Preflow time LIFT START
current is present at the torch. When the electrode is touched
to the work and lifted off, the welding arc is established at the
initial current setting on the sloper.
4. Open REMOTE switch: Machine slopes up to weld current.
Once Machine has reached weld current the machine will stay
in weld current as long as the REMOTE switch is open.
5. Close REMOTE switch: Machine slopes down to final current
setting. As long as the REMOTE switch is closed the machine
will stay in final current setting.
6. Open REMOTE switch: Arc stops and post flow starts.
The Repeat sequence will require adding a second switch func-
tion to the existing sequence of Operation. USE PIN B & PIN M
FOR REPEAT FUNTION.
To use the repeat function start the Slope sequence as normal.
Maintaining the REMOTE switch (CONNECTED TO PINS A & B
OF THE 14 PIN RECPT.) in the closed posistion starts the se-
quence for initial current setting. Opening the REMOTE switch
contacts will start the upslope sequence to weld current and will
stay in weld sequence as long as the switch is in the open posi-
tion. During the weld sequence mode the repeat function will be
operational. To use the repeat function, close a second set of
switch contacts (PIN B & M OF THE 14 PIN RECPT.).
The welding current will slope down to initial current and stay
there until the second switch contacts (PIN B & M) are opened.
The Sloper will then up slope to weld and stay there until the
second switch contacts (PIN B & M) are closed again. This will
start the repeat sequence again.
To stop the Sloper sequence have the repeat function in the weld
mode, close the switch contacts CONNECTED TO PINS A & B
which starts the down slope sequence to final current. When the
switch contacts (PINS A & B) are opened the arc stops and post
flow begins.
