BIOS Setup Utility
3.1 Introduction
This chapter describes the InsydeH2O
®
BIOS Setup Utility for the NanoPAK
®
Sin-
gle Board Computer. The InsydeH2O
®
ROM BIOS is an UEFI-type BIOS stored in
a Flash EEPROM which is connected through SPI. This allows the BIOS configura-
tion data to be retained when power is removed, and allows the BIOS to be easily
updated. However, the system date and time is not retained when power is removed.
Caution: Do not upgrade the BIOS unless your system has a BIOS-related issue.
Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause irreparable damage to the system. In no event
shall Themis be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential dam-
ages arising from a BIOS update. If you have to update the BIOS, do not shut down
or reset the system while the BIOS is updating. This is to avoid possible boot fail-
ure.
