closed until the latch on the Power Module clicks into place. Make sure the
module is well seated and the latch on the edge of the module clicks shut.
Step 3: Attach the Communication Module to the GPS Receiver Module
Depending upon the options that you purchased, the Communication Module
either contains data links or is an empty V- Module. While operating the Z-
Max in a basic configuration does not require the Communication Module, the
module is needed to maintain a weather-tight seal of the Z-Max GPS Module.
As you are facing the front panel of the GPS Receiver Module, the
Communication Module attaches to the left-hand side. Attaching the
Communication Module does not require any cables. To attach the module,
insert the small ledge of the Communication Module into the rear of the GPS
Receiver Module housing first as shown in Figure 3.3. This will correctly align
the module. Using the ledge like a hinge, swing the module closed until the
latch on the Communication Module clicks into place. Make sure the module
is well seated and the latch on the edge of the module clicks shut.
