8.
Cleaning
8.1.
General
CAUTION:
•
Any cleaning must be carried out when the source is disconnected from the mains
electricity.
•
The luminous bands are disconnected from the source.
•
Never immerse a photodynamic therapy component in a liquid.
•
The device must not be sterilised by autoclave or gas.
•
Do not bleach.
•
Do not dry in a machine.
•
Do not iron.
•
Do not dry clean.
•
Only wash with soapy water.
8.2.
Source
•
After turning off the source wait 5 minutes before cleaning.
•
Disconnect the power supply lead for the source before cleaning (risk of electric shock).
•
Never spray product directly onto the surface of the source.
•
Wet a soft, clean cloth with water. Clean the outside of the source and the power supply lead with the
cloth. Make sure that no liquid enters the source.
•
Dampen a second soft, clean cloth with water. Wipe the source.
•
Before use make sure that the source is completely dry. Check that the electric lead is not damaged.
8.3.
Cap
The cap can be washed in the machine on the delicate programme at 40°C without fabric softener.
8.4.
The stretch net
After use discard the single use net.
8.5.
Luminous bands
After each use check that the luminous textile is not damaged and the optical fibres are not broken.
Never spray product directly on the device surface.
When the luminous bands are dirty follow the instructions below:
•
Clean with soapy water.
•
Allow the material to air dry. DO NOT DRY WITH ARTIFICIAL HEAT.
•
Wipe the luminous bands with a dry cloth.
