7.9.4 Fuel system
Fuel level
•
Check the fuel level using the fuel gauge
(62/43).
•
Top up fuel every day after use to prevent
condensation from forming before the machine
is next put into operation.
When topping up fuel with the electrical
refueling pump the fuel tank cover must
be opened to avoid excessive pressure
in the fuel tank!
Fuel filter
•
Clean the outside of the fuel filter.
•
Unscrew the filter cartridge (63/1).
Collect fuel!
•
Dispose of the filter cartridge according to
regulations.
•
Clean the filter head and check its condition.
•
Wet the seal or the fuel filter cartridge with oil or
diesel fuel.
•
Screw on the cartridge by hand until the seal is
securely in place.
•
With one more half turn, tighten the filter
cartridge.
The fuel system does not have to be
vented.
•
After a test run, check for tightness.
Fuel tank
•
Drain water from the fuel tank via the drain plug
(64/1).
•
Clean the filler screen (64/2) and check for
damage.
