5.4.4 Hydraulic rock breaker
Attachment
You must consult with your dealer before
attaching a different make of hammer.
The mounting and Operating Instructions
of the hydraulic rock breaker
manufacturer must be observed!
The hydraulic circuit of the rock breaker
must be secured according to the
instructions of the hydraulic rock breaker
manufacturer.
Standard protection: 300 bar
When working in or under water, special
rock breaker types must be used.
•
Mechanical installation is similar to the
attachment of a bucket.
•
The hydraulic pressure supply for the rock
breaker SMS 140 is connected to the lines of
the additional control circuit (42/1) by means of
a coupling.
•
The hydraulic pressure supply for rock breakers
from other manufacturers is connected to a line
of the additional control circuit (42/1) and the
open return via the depressurized return supply
(42/4).
•
Changeover switch (42/53) to rock breaker
mode.
The indicator light in the switch lights up.
Hydraulic rock breaker operations
The mounting and operating instructions of the
hydraulic rock breaker manufacturer must be
observed!
The pressure force must be applied axial
to the rock breaker and perpendicular to
the surface of the material.
Improper use may lead to severe
damage to the rock breaker, holder and
the excavator itself.
Maintenance
The maintenance of the hydraulic rock breaker
must be performed according to the instructions of
the hydraulic rock breaker manufacturer.
