5.4.2 Assembly of work attachments
•
The bearings on the quick-attach
system and work attachment must be
free of dirt.
•
The system must be relieved of
pressure before hydraulic connections
are disconnected.
Changing procedure
If an attachment is hydraulically
operated, disconnect the hydraulic
connection first of all (system must be
without pressure)
•
For changing, rest the attachment on the
ground so that it cannot overturn.
•
Open the quick-attach system using the control
rod (40/1) until the locking bolts are completely
retracted.
•
Check the function of the quick-attach system
lock and grease the pins if necessary (see also
lubricating note in chapter 7.8.3)
•
Attach another work attachment and close the
quick-attach system until the locking bolts are
completely extended and the lock is firmly in
place.
•
The control rod must be kept in the operator’s
cab.
5.4.2.1 Hydraulic quick-attach system (option)
If this Terex machine is equipped with a
hydraulic quick-attach system HS 08-3
then the following must be operated.
•
Two-handed operation (safety switching) is
required to operate this.
•
Press the rocker switch (40-1/13) on the arm
rest with the left hand and simultaneously press
the rocker (40-1/14) on the right-hand joystick.
Opening the quick-attach system
•
Press the rocker switch (40-1/13) on the arm
rest back and hold the rocker (40-1/14) on the
joystick (right-hand button) pressed.
•
Retract the locking pins on the quick-attach
system. Now the working tool can be mounted.
Closing the quick-attach system
•
Press the rocker switch (40-1/13) on the arm
rest forwards and hold the rocker (40-1/14) on
the joystick (right-hand button) pressed -
locking pins extend.
•
When the rocker switch is not operated, the
quick-attach system receives pressure via the
pilot control and consequently extends
automatically; when it is extended there is
always pilot pressure available. This prevents
the locking pins from being opened
unintentionally.
