4.7 Travel operation
When driving on public roads, the
wheeled excavator, as a self-propelled
work machine, is subject to the legal
regulations valid in the user's country.
(For example, in the Federal Republic of
Germany, StVZO and StVO).
TW85 AL: While driving on roads, the all-
wheel steering must be deactivated.
See chapter 4.7.2
4.7.1 Driving
4.7.1.1 Driving with accelerator pedal
When driving the mobile excavator with
the accelerator pedal (17/13), the manual
gas lever (17/16) must always be put in
the idle position.
Uncontrolled travel movements can occur
in case of failure to comply.
Driving off
The travel direction always refers to the
undercarriage (steering axle in front).
•
Travel direction preselection (17/15) to position
"0".
•
Start the engine
•
Bring the manual throttle (17/16) to idle position
•
Raise the supports
•
Insert working or street gear (17/58; 17/64)
•
TW85
S
: Select speed range I or II (17/65)
observe the indicator lights (17/66, 17/67)
•
Release the parking brake (17/63). The control
light (17/38) is OFF
•
The pendulum axle locking (17/62) set to “OFF”
•
Set desired travel direction with travel direction
preselector switch (17/15) (travel direction
arrow 17/36 or 17/37 light up) and activate
accelerator pedal (17/13)
•
Travel speed is increased and decreased using
the accelerator pedal (17/13).
•
The direction of travel may be changed quickly
by operating the preselector (17/15)
