SERVICE

8. Remove hardware (four hex screws/

fl

at

washers) securing the hydraulic piston motor
to the parking brake assembly.

NOTE: Due to the weight/size of the hydraulic
piston motor, it is required that a fl oor jack be
used to help support the hydraulic piston motor
when removing the motor from the parking brake
assembly.

9. Carefully pull the hydraulic piston motor from

the parking brake assembly. Do Not break
hydraulic hose connections when pulling the
hydraulic piston motor from the parking brake
assembly. Allow the hydraulic piston motor to
hang by the hydraulic hoses.

10. Remove the hardware securing the parking

brake to the front differential.

11. Remove the parking brake from cover plate

remaining on the front differential.

12. Scrape the blue RTV (room temperature

vulcanizing) sealant from the parking brake
surface.

13. Use emery cloth to clean all remaining dirt and

RTV sealant residue from the parking brake
mounting surface.
