MAINTENANCE

HYDRAULICS

FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing
machine, stop on level surface, turn off
machine, set parking brake, and remove key.

HYDRAULIC FLUID RESERVOIR

The reservoir is located on the right side of the
machine next to the engine.

Check the hydraulic

fl

uid level at operating

temperature daily. Make sure the hopper is down
when checking hydraulic

fl

uid level. The sight

gauge is labeled with full (black line) and add (red
line) levels to indicate the hydraulic

fl

uid level in

the reservoir.

ATTENTION! Do not overfi ll the hydraulic fl uid
reservoir or operate the machine with a low
level of hydraulic fl uid in the reservoir. Damage
to the machine hydraulic system may result.

A

fi

ller cap is located on top of the reservoir. The

fi

ller cap is equipped with a built-in breather.

Replace the cap after every 800 hours of
operation. Apply a light

fi

lm of hydraulic

fl

uid onto

the

fi

ller cap gasket before installing the cap onto

the reservoir.

Drain and re

fi

ll the hydraulic

fl

uid reservoir with

new TennantTrue premium hydraulic

fl

uid after

every 2400 hours of operation.

Replace the hydraulic

fl

uid

fi

lter after every 1200

hours of operation or if the hydraulic reservoir
gauge is in the yellow/red zone when the reservoir
hydraulic

fl

uid is approximately 32° C (90° F).

The reservoir has a built-in strainer outlet that

fi

lters hydraulic

fl

uid before it enters the system.

Replace the strainer after every 2400 hours of
operation.

The hydraulic

fl

uid

fi

lter gauge is located in front of

the hydraulic

fi

lter, on top of the hydraulic reservoir.

Make sure the

fl

uid is at operating temperature

and the machine is at 2000 RPM to ensure a
proper reading.

Replace the hydraulic

every 1200 hours of operation, or when the

area.
