SERVICE
21. Align the holes in the piston with the threaded
holes in the spring plate and gently tap around
the entire circumference of the piston to evenly
seat the piston into the pressure plate.
22. Insert the six springs into the piston. Note
locations for the springs. The springs must be
installed in the locations as shown.
23. Install the spring plate onto the pressure plate.
24. Apply a drop of blue thread sealant onto the
threads of two socket screws and thread
the socket screws into the spring plate and
pressure plate. Torque the socket screws to
47.5- 54.2 Nm (35
− 40 ft. lbs.)
25. Stack the rotor disks, stator disks, and primary
stator as shown.
26. Apply a drop of blue thread sealant onto the
threads of four shoulder bolts to be used to
install the rotor disks, stator disks, and primary
disk from the previous step onto the spring
plate.
27. Place the rotor disks, stator disks, and primary
disk onto the spring plate, align the disks onto
the spring plate, and hand thread four socket
screws enough to hold the disks onto the
spring plate. Do Not completely tighten.
