SERVICE
20. Disconnect the master links on each conveyor
chain and remove the chains from the
conveyor assembly.
21. Install the new conveyor chains onto the
conveyor assembly. Be sure the links spray
painted for timing are aligned. The paddle
fl ights on each chain must be aligned with
the chain installed on the other side of the
conveyor.
NOTE: Due to weight/length of the conveyor
chains use a ratchet strap or come-along tool to
ease reinstalling chains/pulling chains together.
22. Install the o-rings onto the inner sides of the
chain links.
23. Apply a coat of lubricant onto the connecting
pins.
24. Place a steel block between each chain
and the side of the conveyor and drive the
connecting pin into each chain.
25. Install the conveyor paddle strips (Qty. 13)/
paddle retainer strips (Qty. 13)/conveyor
paddle angles (Qty. 13) onto the conveyor
chains. Torque hardware 37 to 48 Nm
(27 to 35 ft. lbs.).
Do Not
overtighten
hardware. Conveyor paddle components could
be damaged if hardware is overtightened.
26. Rotate the chains through one complete
revolution. Ensure the conveyor paddle
assemblies are horizontally aligned between
the left and right conveyor chains.
27. Reposition the small bottle jack on the
conveyor so the jack is under the portion of
the sprocket/sprocket hub assembly nearest to
either the left of right side panel.
28. Use the bottle jack to place a small amount
of tension onto the conveyor center shaft to
keep the bearing block from moving down
and relieve pressure from the springs located
inside the spring block.
29. Reinstall the spring block onto the conveyor
assembly.
30. Slide the links onto the roll pins and lock the
links into the lowest settings.
31. Install the spring block retainer onto the spring
block.
32. Position the hydraulic cylinder onto the spring
block retainer and use the clevis pin to secure
the hydraulic cylinder to the spring block
retainer.
33. Use hardware to secure the clevis pin into
place inside the hydraulic cylinder and spring
block retainer.
34. Insert the springs into the spring block and
install the plugs into the spring block to secure
the springs inside the spring block.
35. Release the bottle jack holding the sprocket/
sprocket hub assembly and remove the jack.
36. Repeat Steps 27-35 to assemble components
onto the other side of the conveyor.
37. Reinstall the hydraulic gear motor onto the
conveyor assembly.
38. Grease the upper and lower bearing
assemblies located on each side of the
conveyor assembly.
39. Install the upper rear panel onto the conveyor
assembly.
40. Start the machine and operate the conveyor.
Listen for chattering/grinding noises indicating
there is binding/alignment issues with chain(s)/
conveyor assembly.
41. Remove the hopper support pin and
completely lower the hopper.
