resistance indicates moisture in the windings and
necessitates electrical or mechanical drying before the
motor can be placed into service. If resistance is low,
contact your Baldor District office.
3. Re-grease the bearings as instructed in this manual.
4. Reinstall the original shipping brace if motor is to be
moved. This will hold the shaft firmly against the
bearing and prevent damage during movement.
(C) SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
(1) Installing and servicing air conditioning equipment can be hazardous due to system pressure and
electrical components.
(2) Only trained and qualified service personnel should install or service air conditioning equipment.
Untrained personnel can perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning and replacing filters. All
other operations should be performed by trained service personnel.
(3) When working on air conditioning equipment, observe precautions listed in literature, tags and
labels attached to unit.
(4) Follow all safety codes:
Wear safety glasses and work gloves.
Use quenching cloth for brazing operations.
Have fire extinguisher available.
Read these instructions thoroughly.

Before installing or servicing system, always turn off main power to system.
There may be more than one disconnect switch.
Turn off accessory heater power if applicable.
Electrical shock can cause personal injury or death.
Before proceeding, make sure all electrical service to unit is locked in “Off” position.
