Ultraviolet lights
The unit has the option for factory-provided, field-
installed UV lights. If selected, six UV tube lights
(61 in. (155 cm) each) are shipped loose inside the
evaporator cabinet.
CAUTION
Take care when handling the UV lights. Oil from skin
can cause premature failure of the UV light. When
installing the UV lights, wear clean cotton or latex
gloves or thoroughly wipe the UV tube lights clean
after installing.
Figure 47: UV lights
To install the UV lights, remove the protective
packaging and install where applicable inside the
evaporator cabinet.
Doors to the evaporator, supply fan, and filter
cabinets include an electrical switch that disables
the UV lights when the doors are opened. To turn on
the UV lights, close evaporator, supply fan, or filter
cabinet door and switch the UV light reset switch on
the display panel to ON (see Figure 26 and Figure
27).
Condensate drain
The unit must have a condensate drain installed.
The connection for the condensate drain is on the
right side of the unit. For the correct location of the
drain connection, refer to the submittal data.
The drain connection is 1-1/4 in. FPT. The
condensate drain must be properly trapped to
ensure proper water drainage from the condensate
drain pan. See Figure 48 for proper sizing of
condensate trap.
The condensate trap and any associated piping
should be protected from freezing. All plumbing
must conform to local codes. A thread sealant
should be used on male pipe threads. It is strongly
recommended that a clean-out port be provided on
the condensate trap.
