Install the 8820 MSR
Installing the 8820 MSR into a 23-inch Rack
Installing the 8820 MSR into a 23-inch Rack
Use procedures in this section to attach mounting flanges to the 8820 MSR, and to position
and secure the 8820 MSR in a 23-inch rack.
Step 1
Using the screws provided, install the mounting flanges
on the 8820
MSR.
Step 2
With the help of an assistant, lift and align the unit into place at the rack.
One person must be positioned at the rear side of the rack to balance the 8820 MSR
while the other person balances the front and secures the unit to the rack.
Step 3
Using a Phillips screwdriver, attach the four, pan head screws (two per flange), to
fasten the 8820 MSR unit to the rack.
Step 4
Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each remaining 8820 MSR unit to be mounted in the
rack.

OTE
23-inch rack mounting flanges can only be positioned in the mid-mount
location. Front mount is not recommended.
