With glow plug wire removed, the glow plug can be removed
from the FID body. Using a 5/16” wrench loosen the glow plug
until it comes free of the FID body. Do NOT try to pull the glow
plug from the FID body. When it is fully unscrewed the glow
plug should come away freely.
3.
Place the copper washer and glow plug shim onto the new glow
plug. The copper washer should be placed on the glow plug first,
followed by the metal shim.
4.
Insert the new glow plug into the FID body and tighten ¼ turn
past snug.
5.
Re-attach glow plug wire.
