7.2 Setting Internal 1:2 Phase Combined Mode
To enable the system switch control logic, all SSPA units need to be configured for 1:2
Phase Combined mode. This can be done remotely or via the front panel interface.
Optionally, if the operator wants to control the system as if it were a single amplifier,
N+1 mode has to be turned on to allow a single point of control for system wide attenu-
ation and mute status. N+1 mode also allows the read-out of the combined system RF
output from an RF detector unit, if equipped.
If a single point of control is not desired, N+1 mode can be disabled. The 1:2 Phase
Combined system switching function will remain operational.
In order to provide proper system operation, all SSPA units used in the system must
have identical part numbers and have delay matched characteristics. Consult factory
for details.
7.2.1 Setting 1:2 Phase Combined Mode
Enable 1:2 Phase Combined mode by setting the following in each system amplifier.

7.2.2 Setting N+1 Mode
If a single point of control is desired for system operation, set the proper N+1 array size
in the front panel menu of each amplifier in the system.
7.2.2.1 Setting N+1 Array Size
Array size will depend on type of SSPA chassis used in the system: Array Size 3 for
single module units; Array Size 6 for dual module chassis; Array Size 12 for 4 module
chassis. If no N+1 control is required, assign this setting to
