DS3-Only BERT Patterns

NOTE.

DS3 BERT patterns are only available on the NetTek YBT100DS3

module.

2^23-1

: A 23-stage shift register pattern, emulates random data.

2^20-1

: A 20-stage shift register pattern, emulates random data.

1010

: A pattern that simulates RAI in non-ANSI elements.

1100

: A pattern that simulates AIS in non-ANSI elements.

1111

: A pattern that simulates IDLE in non-ANSI elements.

Tx Idle

: Transmits Idle alarm per ANSI speci

Tx RAI

: Transmits RAI alarm per ANSI speci

: Transmits AIS alarm per ANSI speci

Loopback Settings

The YBT100 can perform both DS1 and DS3 loops. The loopback
parameters are accessed by clicking on the

Select Loopback

button

on the

Diagnostics

tab. Click the help button on the

DS1 Loopback

or

DS3 FEAC & Loopbacks

dialog box for information on the loop

types and controls.

Spkr Button

The Spkr button toggles on or off the emitting of an audio tone when
the module detects errors.
