Model 4000 WPP Upgrade
Version 6.0R2
DSK Matte Fills and Borderline Mattes
■
Flat matte fills and borders remain unchanged from previous software
versions.
■
USER DEF WASH uses the PGM/PST secondary wipe generator to
wash between the Matte 1 and Matte 2 generators.
■
To avoid conflicts between the PGM/PST and M/E 1 decks, the SEC
WIPE WASH (which uses M/E 1’s secondary wipe generator) has been
disabled for key fills and borderline mattes on DSK 1 and DSK 2.
■
Since the PGM/PST PRI wipe is used for transitions on the PGM bus,
copying to the PGM PST PRI wipe generator is not allowed. Therefore,
key copies from M/Es using a primary wipe generator (such as
primary wipe washes and primary wipe INH masks) to a DSK will
result in an error. However, with the new release of the software, keys
using only a secondary wipe generator can be copied to the DSKs.
Note
Remember that pressing USER DEF WASH on the PGM/PST matte panel actu-
ally activates the PGM/PST secondary wipe generator for the purpose of wash
operations.
