PGM/PST Wipe Border Mattes
Control for the PGM/PST primary wipe borders is under the WIPE
BORDER menu.
To open the WIPE BORDER menu, if the PGM PRI WIPE button is dele-
gated, the BORD button can be pressed. Turning BORD on will open the
program preset wipe border menu. Alternatively, the menu can be obtained
through the WIPE menu path (WIPE> WIPE BORDER).
The WIPE BORDER menu provides control to the matte generators for the
primary wipe border. Hue, Saturation, and Brightness knobs work with all
matte types. Hue, Saturation, and Brightness knobs are visible when the
F8-KNOBS menu button is set to MATTES. Softness and Offset knobs are
visible when the F8-KNOBS menu button is set to APPEARANCE. You will
notice that selecting PRI WASH or SEC WASH in the menu autodelegates
the same wipe generator on the subpanel.
When the secondary wipe wash is selected in the PGM/PST WIPE
BORDER menu, it will use the PGM PST SEC wipe generator to wash the
border.
Note
The PGM PST SEC wipe is also used for the USER DEF WASH, so changing one
will affect the other.
Wipe Menus
All of the wipe menus provide control to the PGM/PST wipes.
Wipe Panel Delegations
The wipe panel delegation buttons are changed in the software. They for-
merly had single-button delegations of M/E 1 PRI, M/E 1 SEC, M/E 2 PRI,
M/E 2 SEC, M/E3 PRI, and M/E 3 SEC. They now have M/E 1, M/E 2, M/
E 3, PGM PST delegations plus a PRI and SEC delegation. Pressing a wipe
panel delegation causes the wipe menus and wipe positioner (when not
ganged) to autodelegate. Double pressing an M/E wipe panel delegation
will open the WIPE MODIFIERS menu.
Note
If your switcher has the new hardware installed but is loaded with pre-version
6.0 software, the wipe panel delegations will behave in the old manner, and the
delegation lamps will not match the key caps for those buttons.
