Operating Instructions-—Type 1L30
- i
POS— Controls the ver
tical position of the dis
play.
CAL — Adjustment to
calibrate the midrange
position of the IF CEN
TER FREQ.
Fine— 1 turn control for
fine adjustment of the
IF center frequency.
DISP
CAL— Adjustment
to match the oscillo
scope sweep amplitude
to the analyzer disper
sion.
DISP BAL— Adjusted to
balance the dispersion
center of the MHz/CM
and the kHz/CM posi
tions of the DISPERSION
RANGE switch.
DISPERSION
RANGE—
Selects the MHz or kHz
range of the DISPER
SION control.
DISPERSION — Selects
the frequency width or
display window.
COUPLED
RESO LU
TION— Selects the reso
lution bandwidth of the
analyzer. Pull the knob
and turn to uncouple
from the DISPERSION.
VIDEO FILTER— Restricts
the video bandwidth to
reduce high frequency
response and filte r out
noise.
GAIN— Varies the ver
tical gain of the Spec
trum Analyzer.
IF ATTEN dB— Series of
calibrated
attenuation
steps.
FINE RF FREQ — Fine
tuning adjustment of the
local oscillator to set
phase lock operation.
RF CENTER FREQ— Con
trol tunes the local os
cillator and the dial.
Dial indicates the cen
ter frequency of the dis
play when the IF CEN
TER FREQ controls are
centered.
LOCK CHECK— Push the
button to check and set
phase lock operation.
REF FREQ Selector— Se
lects the source
(I NT
or EXT) for phase lock
operation.
Phase Lock Connector—
Used to apply an exter
nal reference frequency
to the phase lock cir
cuits or to provide an
outlet for the internal
1 MHz
reference
fre
quency markers which
may be used to eoli
brate the dispersion.
MIXER PEAKING — Op
timizes the conversion
action of the mixer.
RF
INPUT— Input
sig
nals < — 30 dBm rec
ommended,
± 1 5 dBm
maximum.
TO RECORDER— Jack
provides an output for
recorders, etc.
VIDEO INPUT — BNC
connector to apply video
input signals to be dis
played as a convention
al (time domain) dis
play.
VERTICAL DISPLAY— Se
lects
d is p la y
mode.
LOGarithmic,
LI Near,
SQuare LAW
(power)
or VIDEO.
SWEEP INPUT — BNC
connector for applying
the sawtooth waveform
(100 V or 150 V) from
the
associate
oscillo
scope.
