CHAPTER 5 – SER. SPOT MODE
FEATURES MENU
SEAM WELD MODE OFF
BUTT WELD MODE OFF
>SER. SPOT MODE ON
This mode enables to increase the welding spots number which can be carried out per minute
when compared to a standard working mode.
It is advisable to contact
before activating this mode due to
the welding speed reached when working in HIGH SPEED.
The TE550 control unit carries the first cycle out with a squeeze phase value equal to the sum
of the times set in the SQUEEZE1 and SQUEEZE parameters, while, in the following cycles,
the value is equal to the time set in the SQUEEZE parameter.
In both the phases, just the EV1 solenoid valve output is commanded.
NOTES FOR THE HIGH SPEED WELDING WORKING MODE ONLY:
When the HIGH SPEED parameter is set to ON, the TE550 manages always and only the
EV1 solenoid valve output. In the FEATURES MENU, the parameter LOW FORCE SQ. is
fixed to ON while FORGE is fixed to OFF.
When the SER. SPOT MODE is set to ON, the seam welding (SEAM WELD MODE) and
butt welding (BUTT WELD MODE) functions are disabled. Should one activate them, this
will make a programming error be displayed.
When the SER. SPOT MODE is set to ON, also the following functions are deactivated:
- Print-out of the welding spots in all the available communication protocols (RS232,
RS485, USB);
- RS485 communication protocol for TecnaNet;
- Usage of the position sensor;
- Usage of the cascade mode among the control units.
When the SER. SPOT MODE is set to ON, the following functions are enabled:
