Instruction manual
ITEM TE550
S.p.A.
WELD / NO WELD
This parameter, with
optional card
code 50200 installed, is used for selecting the priority of
the WELD / NO WELD command.
When the parameter is set to INT, the functionality of the WELD / NO WELD external line on
the card, coded 50200 (PIN 54), is OFF whilst the button on the control unit remains active.
When this parameter is set to EXT, the functionality of the WELD / NO WELD external line on
the card, coded 50200, is ON whilst the button on the front panel of the TE550 unit is
disabled.
When this parameter is set to BOTH, both WELD / NO WELD commands are active: the one
on the TE550 front panel and the external command line on card coded 50200. Since the two
commands are in sequence, only one of the two commands set to NO WELD is needed to
commute the unit to NO WELD. Both commands must be commutated to WELD to
commutate the unit to WELD.
THICK SENSOR
Activate this parameter to make available both the QUALITY – T parameter inside the
programs and the THICKNESS SENSOR menu to parameterize the position sensors
connected to the control unit.
EV LOCK ON ERR.
This parameter allows to keep the control unit’s solenoid valves energized and to stop the
head of a welder when an error rises in the welding cycle diagram.
When this parameter is set on OFF, this function is disabled.
When this parameter is set on ON, the head lock function is enabled in case of error.
To unlock the TE550, it is necessary to press the CLEAR
key or to use the ERROR
RESET input (when the extra board is present).
When the parameter is set on KEY, a second function for locking the head is enabled.
In this very case, in order to unlock the TE550 it is necessary first to turn the key in the PROG
position and then to press the CLEAR
key or to use the ERROR RESET input (when the
extra board is present).
As long as the control unit is in the error condition and the solenoid valves outputs are closed,
the WRONG output signal is kept activated.
INPUT VE/PRE
This parameter allows to set which optional board (either item 50200 or item 50189) has been
connected to the TE550 control unit. This parameter is displayed only when either one of
these boards is present.
When having a 50200 board (for measuring the electrodes voltage), it is necessary to set the
parameter on VE.
When having a 50189 board (for measuring the welding pressure), it is necessary to set the
parameter on PRE.
VOLTAGE RANGE
This parameter allows selecting the capacity/maximum rating of the voltage measured across
the welding electrodes that are to be selected. The rating for this parameter
must
correspond
to the capacity selected on the acquisition board (item 50097). The control unit
allows enabling this function only if the supplementary board item 50200 is present.
