3.  Set  the  Latency  Time  (ms)  to  1  instead  of  the  default  value.  This  will  ensure  optimal 
communication with the drive.

In order to setup the drive for your application you need to communicate with it. The easiest way is 
via an USB link between your PC and the drive.
