SIDE MOVEMENTS

Side movements refer to shifting of the vehicle toward the left or
right of the lift, especially during the lifting cycle.
The safety devices installed to protect against this type of movement
comprise raised kerbs (1) on the inner edges of the platforms,
which effectively stop lateral movement of the load - provided the
the platforms are correctly spaced.

For optimal personal safety and safety of vehicles, observe the
following regulations:
- do not enter the safety zone while vehicles are being lifted (see
Fig.16),
- switch off the engine of the vehicle, engage a  gear and engage
   the hand brake,
- make sure the vehicle is positioned correctly (see Fig.19);
- be sure to lift only approved vehicles, never exceed the specified
   carrying capacity, maximum height, and projections (vehicle length
    and width);
- make sure that there are no persons on the platforms during up
and down movements and during standing (Fig.19).
