Changing your computer’s subnet
mask and TCP/IP address
If and where you can change the subnet mask
and IP address of your computer depends on…
– the operating system you are using and
– your account privileges.
In case of doubt, please consult your company’s
network administrator.
To find and change the TCP/IP
address and the subnet mask on
a computer running Windows:
– Go to Control Panel / Network Connections / In-
ternet Protocol (TCP/IP).
– Set the TCP/IP address.
To find and change the TCP/
IP address and the subnet mask
on a computer running OS X:
– Go to System Preferences / Network.
– Select “Ethernet”.
– Under “Configure IPv4”, select “Manually”.
– Set the TCP/IP address.
