Blades replacement
Maintenance
Inspect blades before each use to determine that they are properly installed and in
good conditions. Replace any blade that is bent, excessively nicked, worn or has any other
damage. Besides that, the blades must be reversed or replaced as soon as some cutting
imperfection is being noticed.
Keep away from the blades and rotating shaft until the motion has stopped.
Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
DANGER
Always replace both blades, using the pair of blades supplied by the factory.
To replace the blades (A), shut down the tractor PTO and wait for the blades to stop
turning completely. Release the bolts (B) along with the spring washers and nuts (C). After
the replacement, check if the blades can swing freely. If this is not the case an excessive
vibration may occur, damaging the equipment.
NOTE • When replacing the blades it is necessary to replace the bolts, spring washers
and nuts as well.
• Use TATU original blades only. They are made of special heat-treated alloy steel.
Other blades may not meet the specifications and cause flaws.
