Connection and Configuration
Connection
The T801-4 is connected to two 1PPS RS-485 networks. One is driven
from the primary QS
2
RSU, and the other from the secondary RSU. Note
that the T801-4 can be further away from the RSUs than the RSUs can be
from each other. This is because the T801-4 has the RS-485 network
termination resistors fitted. Each RSU also provides a 1PPS VALID signal
to the T801-4.

Set up the RSUs as primary and secondary units, using the internal
links on their respective interface boards (refer to the RSU Service
Manual for more information).

Connect
PORT B
on the T801-4 to the RSU Interconnect port (GPS
signal interface) on the secondary RSU. Use a direct one-to-one
RJ45-to-RJ45 connection, as shown in
Figure 4.6
below. Use the
same type of cable to connect the two RSUs.
