T801-4 with a Single QS

RSU Receiver
In this configuration the T801-4 would not normally be fitted with the
internal or external GPS receivers, as these are either disabled or redundant.
The T801-4 is supplied with a 1PPS RS-485 signal from the QS
2
RSU
with GPS receiver.
Connection
1.
Set up the QS
2
RSU as a primary unit, using the internal links on the
RSU interface board (refer to the RSU Service Manual for more
information). In this configuration the RSU provides a 1PPS
RS-485 output on pins 1 and 2, and a VALID signal output on pin 4.

Connect
PORT B
on the T801-4 to the RSU Interconnect port (GPS
signal interface) on the RSU. Use a direct one-to-one RJ45-to-RJ45
connection, as shown in
Figure 4.5
below.
