Powering up
The following steps outline the process for powering
your VIPER system up.
1. Turn on all external devices, then turn on your VIPER
with the
Power
switch which is above the top center part
of the keyboard as shown in the Figure 2-9.

2. View the initial system screens.
After the self-tests have successfully completed, an initial
message appears. Then system messages scroll as the
operating system and GNOME windowing environment
load.
