7. Use your other hand to pull the lever for-
ward. Push down on the lever until it stops
moving. You will need to use more force for
hermetic sealing than for crimping.
8. Raise the lever. Flip the preforming tool over
(grooved side up), and place it around the
upper die plunger.
9. Lower the lever again, and push down gently
until it stops moving.
10. Raise the lever, and remove the pan from
the well. Check the pan to ensure that it
meets the specifications in Table 5.2 (next
page).
If the pan does not meet the specifications in
Table 5.2, you may need to adjust the height
of the lower die. To adjust the lower die,
loosen the lower die holder thumbscrew (see
Figure 5.1), and follow steps 9 through 11 on
page 5-8.
