PDT 3400 Demo Program
The Data Entry Demo
The Data Entry Demo allows you create a sample database by scanning a bar code and
entering its description, price, and quantity in stock to create a sample database. To initiate
the demo:
1. Select The Data Entry Demo and press < Enter >.
2. Press the SCANbar to scan the bar code desired.
3. The demo displays the Item Number and prompts for a Description.
4. Type in an item description and press <
Enter > to move to the next field.
5. At the Price prompt, type the item’s price and press < Enter >.
6. At the In Stock prompt, type the quantity of the items available in stock and press
< Enter >.
7. To view the data that has been stored, re-scan the bar code (press the SCANbar).
8. To enter additional items, re-scan a new bar code and follow the directions given
above for entering the data.
9. When you are finished and prompted to exit, press < ESC > to return to the Operating
Menu.
The data entered in this demo is added to the default PDT 3400 demo database. Refer to the
section PDT 3400 Demo Database for information on the database and the default data
provided.
The Radio Demo
The Radio Demo is only available when the SDK for a specific radio addendum is integrated
into the PDT 3400 SDK. Refer to the documentation for the radio addendum for a detailed
description of this demo.
