Jumper Settings
Explanation of
Jumpers
To modify the operation of the
motherboard, jumpers can be used
to choose between optional set-
tings. Jumpers create shorts be-
t w e e n t w o p i n s t o c h a n g e t h e
function of the connector. Pin 1 is
identified with a square solder pad
on the printed circuit board. See
the motherboard layout pages for
j u m p e r l o c a t i o n s . O n a 2 - p i n
jumper, "Closed" means the jumper
is over both pins (to "close" the
connection) and "Open" means the
jumper is either off or on a single
pin only.

Front Side Bus Speed
The FSB speed is set with JP11
and JP12. Table 2-17 displays the
settings for these two jumpers.
T h e C P U s p e e d c a n a l s o b e
changed by software control in
BIOS (see CPU Speed setting).
The CPU Speed setting will show
you the actual CPU speed for each
FSB speed option selected.

reboot after changing the CPU
